Padenghe Castle is a well-preserved medieval fortress overlooking the town of Padenghe sul Garda on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda.

Built between the 10th and 14th centuries on a hilltop, it was created to protect local residents from invasions and to control the surrounding territory. The castle is notable for its massive stone walls, defensive towers, drawbridge entrance, and the small residential area enclosed within its walls.

Over the centuries, it was contested by powerful regional rulers, including the Scaligeri, Visconti, and the Republic of Venice, reflecting its strategic importance. Today, Padenghe Castle remains one of the most intact medieval castles around Lake Garda. Its historic architecture and elevated position provide impressive views of the lake and surrounding countryside, making it one of the area's most distinctive landmarks.
