Parque Nacional Queulat, in Chile's remote Aysén Region along the Carretera Austral south of Puyuhuapi, spans 1,541 square kilometers of rugged Patagonian Andes with glacier-capped peaks over 2,000 meters, dense Valdivian temperate rainforests, fjords, rivers, and waterfalls receiving 3,500-4,000 mm of annual rainfall.

Its iconic highlight, the Ventisquero Colgante or Queulat Hanging Glacier, dramatically spills from icy cliffs into turquoise Laguna del Ventisquero, forming cascades visible from viewpoints along short hikes like the 3.6 km Mirador del Ventisquero trail amid moss-draped ancient trees and wildlife including pudú deer and Darwin's frogs.

Established in 1983 near the Puyuhuapi Volcanic Group, the park offers multi-day treks to Los Pumas and Los Queluos lagoons, boat tours on summer-accessible waters, and scenic drives through sectors like Angostura and Portezuelo, embodying pristine Patagonian wilderness with cold, wet conditions year-round.
