Pohatcong Native Arboretum in Washington Township, New Jersey, was founded in 2002 with a grant from Rutgers University and is an educational, scientific, and aesthetic sanctuary dedicated to native trees, shrubs, and vines of New Jersey.

It is located in the Pohatcong Creek Natural Area and features over 150 species of native plants organized by botanical families, with informative plaques displaying their scientific names. The arboretum reflects Native American inspiration, honoring the local heritage of both plants and people, and includes forested wetlands and a log cabin that serves as an art gallery.

Through successive plantings and dedicated research, its collection tripled between 2010 and 2015, creating a diverse and well-labelled living museum. The landscape showcases glacial stone beds, multi-stem shrubs, understory trees, and a variety of natural habitats along Pohatcong Creek, which means "Mountain Splitting Stream" in the Lenni Lenape language. The arboretum provides a peaceful setting for education and reflection within a region known for rich plant diversity and historical significance.
