QizQalaSi Castle (also written Qiz Qalasi, Qiz Qala Si, or Dokhtar Castle) in the context of Jamkarān near Qom is a Sasanian‑era fortress whose name combines “Qiz/Qız/Qalasi” (meaning “girl’s” or “maiden’s”) with “Qala/Qal‘a” (fortress), and it is mentioned in lists of Iranian castles as “Qiz Castle, Jamkaran, Qom County” dating to the Sasanian Empire.

The nearby village of Jamkarān lies about six kilometers south of Qom on the Qom–Kashan highway and is known for its religious significance, ancient ruins including the remnants of a “Gabri castle” (a term sometimes used for pre‑Islamic or Zoroastrian sites), and other archaeological features, but detailed descriptions of a specific “QizQalaSi Castle”. 

Most other well‑known examples of Qiz Qalasi/Dokhtar Castle are located in places like Mianeh in East Azerbaijan province, where they are larger, multi‑part stone and mortar fortresses with watchtowers, inner and outer walls, cisterns, and legends linking them to Sassanid commanders, princesses, or goddesses, but the Qiz Castle at Jamkarān itself is primarily recorded as a Sasanian period hillfort in the Qom region, part of a broader network of ancient defensive structures that once guarded routes and settlements in northwestern and central Iran.
