Rabenstein Castle is Saxony's smallest preserved hill castle, perched on a rocky outcrop in Chemnitz-Rabenstein, Germany, with origins in the late 12th century as a watchtower during the settlement of the Erzgebirge foothills. 

First documented in 1336 when Emperor Louis IV pledged it as a fief, it expanded into a larger complex with 180-meter walls enclosing two hectares before repeated destructions in wars, leaving only the upper castle's core including a 17th-century Baroque knights' hall with hunting frescoes.

Acquired by merchant Johann Georg Siegert in 1774 who built the adjacent Rococo Rabensteiner Schloss and shaped a Romantic English park, it became a city museum in 1959 after Chemnitz's 1950 incorporation, now hosting medieval events like Easter festivals amid hiking trails and local attractions.
