The Rahmatabad Castle in the village of Rahmatabad, Khvansar County in Isfahan province, Iran, is an ancient fortified hill‑castle that has been used as a stronghold and settlement for centuries.

Local research and geological studies suggest that the site may have origins as far back as the Sassanid era, with natural and man‑made tunnels and chambers inside the hill later incorporated into a multi‑level structure that resembles a small underground fortress.

The castle is associated with the village of Rahmatabad, which serves as the capital of Kuhsar Rural District in Khansar County, and it is sometimes referred to as the “Rahmatabad historical hill” because the fortification and its surrounding dwellings are built on and into a prominent earthen mound that has been shaped by both natural processes and human occupation over time.

Despite limited detailed published descriptions, the site is regarded in Iran as one of the historical castles of the Isfahan region and is valued as a local heritage landmark that reflects older patterns of hill‑fort building in the central Iranian plateau.
