Reinharz Castle GbR
Bad Schmiedeberg, Germany, Germany
Reinharz Castle GbR manages Schloss Reinharz, a Baroque moated castle near Bad Schmiedeberg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, built from 1690–1701 by Heinrich von Löser after his family sold their previous seat at Pretzsch following the Thirty Years' War.
The three-story horseshoe-shaped structure, redesigned with Rococo interiors in 1748 including ornate wood paneling and murals of Elector Frederick Augustus II and Maria Josepha, features a prominent 68-meter tower extended by Löser's son Hans for astronomical instruments.
Adjacent to a Gothic-Baroque church serving as the family crypt, it sits within a six-hectare park redesigned as a landscape garden in 1837, now offering exclusive apartments, events, and a café after post-WWII sanatorium use and private restoration.
