Rentmeisterei
Bad König, Germany, Germany
The Rentmeisterei in Bad König, Odenwaldkreis, Hesse, Germany, is a historic late 18th- or early 19th-century administrative building forming part of the town's Schloss Bad König complex alongside the Old and New Castles and former fortified churchyard.
Originally serving as the local rent office and later town hall from 1804, it features a Baroque wooden staircase by carpenter Schillinger and a Neoclassical stucco ceiling by Andreas Ditmar in its main hall, with a commemorative plaque for writer Karl Julius Weber who penned Demokritos there.
Recently restored in 2017-2018 for office use on three floors totaling 700 m², it now functions as a conference and wedding venue while anchoring the Schlossplatz historic center.
