Ringhotel Schloss Hohenstein is a historic castle hotel in Ahorn near Coburg, Bavaria, set on a wooded sandstone ridge.

The site was first documented in 1306 as a medieval castle and has a long history marked by destruction during the German Peasants’ War and damage during the Thirty Years’ War before being rebuilt and transformed into a Renaissance-style residence. In 1763, the estate was acquired by the von Imhoff family, who gave the castle much of its present appearance.

After several changes of ownership in the 20th century, the property was extensively restored and converted into a castle hotel, combining historic architecture with modern hospitality. Today, Schloss Hohenstein is known as a hotel, restaurant, and event venue surrounded by parkland. Its impressive architecture, centuries of history, and scenic setting make it one of the most distinctive landmarks in the Ahorn and Coburg region.
