Rocca di San Quirico is a medieval hilltop fortress located in Roccapiemonte, near Salerno in southern Italy.

Built in 1042 by the Lombard prince Guaimario IV, it was designed to protect the surrounding valleys from Saracen raids and served as the nucleus around which the first settlement of the area developed. Although much of the fortress has been lost over time due to earthquakes, warfare, and centuries of decay, visitors can still see significant remains, including sections of the triple defensive walls, ancient gateways, and a cylindrical watchtower.

Today, the Rocca stands as an important reminder of the region’s medieval past. Its ruins offer insight into the defensive architecture of the period and provide a scenic viewpoint over the surrounding countryside.
