The Rogerson Clematis Garden in Stafford, Oregon, began as a private collection started by Brewster Rogerson, an English professor and plant enthusiast, who began collecting clematis in 1971.

Over the years, his collection grew to nearly 900 different taxa, including rare species, historic varieties, and new hybrids, making it the largest public clematis collection in North America. Originally housed in different locations including Eugene and North Plains, the collection found a permanent home at Luscher Farm in Lake Oswego, part of the city's Parks and Recreation system.

Established as a public garden in 2005, it surrounds a historic farmhouse and offers a year-round display of diverse clematis blooms, with peak flowering in July. The garden also features companion plants and highlights pollinator-friendly species, serving both as a horticultural treasure and an educational resource dedicated to conserving and celebrating clematis diversity.

It operates freely for visitors daily from dawn to dusk, nurtured by the Friends of the Rogerson Clematis Collection nonprofit group that continues Brewster Rogerson’s legacy.
