Rovereto Castle is a large medieval fortress located in the historic center of Rovereto, in the Trentino region of northern Italy.

Originally built by the Castelbarco family in the 14th century, it was later expanded and transformed by the Republic of Venice into one of the finest examples of Alpine military architecture, with powerful bastions, towers, and defensive walls. The castle played an important strategic role for centuries, passing from Venetian control to the Habsburgs in 1509 and remaining a military stronghold until the end of World War I.

Its history reflects the many conflicts that shaped the region over the centuries. Today, Rovereto Castle is home to the Italian War History Museum (MITAG), which features collections of historic weapons, armor, and exhibits related to the world wars. With its impressive architecture and commanding position above the Leno River, it is one of the most significant historical landmarks in Trentino.
