Ruine Alte Stromburg auf dem Pfarrköpfchen is the evocative ruin of an early medieval spur castle from the Salian era, perched on a narrow mountain ridge northeast of Stromberg's old town in Germany's Hunsrück region, Rhineland-Palatinate, dating to the mid-11th century and abandoned by around 1200 when the main Stromburg shifted to the opposite Schlossberg.

First referenced in 11th-12th century documents as Stromberg's original fortress, this "Festes Haus" type stronghold featured a massive eastern building with an integrated defensive prow separated by a 1.4-meter cross-wall, plus a Romanesque four-pillar double chapel whose mosaic floor survives in the local Heimatmuseum after 1984-1988 excavations revealed its unchanged Staufer-era form.

Long mistaken for Roman remains and ravaged by 19th-century limestone quarrying, the site's preserved ground-level walls now form a free-access hiking destination on the Soonwald's edge, offering authentic glimpses of high medieval architecture amid forested trails last noted as the "alte Burg zu Stromberg" in 1353 and 1401 records.
