The San Antonio Botanical Garden in Texas is a 41-acre nonprofit garden that opened to the public in 1980 after more than 40 years of planning by local civic leaders. It is located on land that once was a limestone quarry and waterworks site. Key features include the award-winning Lucile Halsell Conservatory, which houses five glass pyramid greenhouses showcasing a variety of plants from alpine species to tropical fruits.

The garden's extensive grounds contain formal gardens, native Texas plant trails with reconstructed historic homes, a Japanese garden gifted by San Antonio's sister city Kumamoto, and multiple themed areas like a sensory garden and a cactus and succulent garden.

The restored 1896 Sullivan Carriage House serves as a main entrance and event space. The garden also offers educational programs, community events, and workshops focused on nature, conservation, and sustainable gardening practices, making it a prominent botanical and cultural destination in the city.
