Sangineto is a small town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy, located on the Tyrrhenian coast between Belvedere Marittimo and Bonifati on the Riviera dei Cedri.

With a population of about 1,200 residents, the town stretches from the coastline up into the foothills of Pollino National Park at an elevation of 275 meters, creating a unique combination of sea, mountains, and history. Sangineto is divided into the historic hilltop village with narrow alleys and the seaside resort of Sangineto Lido, which features quiet sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters far from typical tourist crowds.

The historic center contains notable landmarks including the 15th-century Prince's Castle (a fortress once surrounded by the sea), the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Neve church, and a 2,400-year-old olive tree known as the Patriarca di Sangineto, one of the oldest in the region. The town offers hidden natural attractions like the Vuglio Waterfall and Lake La Penna, plus mountain trails, while maintaining an authentic Calabrian atmosphere with local cafés and untouched charm.
