Santa's Workshop in North Pole, a hamlet in Wilmington, New York, is one of the first theme parks in the United States, opened in 1949. Designed to resemble Santa Claus's summer home, the park was created by businessman Julian Reiss and artist Arto Monaco based on a story told to Reiss’s daughter.
The park features holiday-themed attractions like Santa’s house, reindeer barn, toy maker’s shop, and various rides including a Christmas carousel and Candy Cane Express train.
