Schloß Scheer in Scheer, Germany, is a striking late Gothic residence built between 1485 and 1496 by Count Andreas von Sonnenberg on the foundations of an earlier medieval fortress, prominently positioned on a Weißjura spur encircled by the Danube River.

The complex features three multi-story buildings with distinctive stepped gables connected by a lower cavalier building housing a chapel consecrated in 1505, plus later Renaissance expansions like the 1561-1565 Kanzleibau, an 18th-century round tower, English garden, and encircling walls with a deep moat.

Remaining in private ownership and inhabited, it offers exterior views from riverbanks or the town center but restricts interior access, blending fortified heritage with serene Upper Danube valley landscapes.
