Schloss Bückeburg is a large, still‑inhabited princely palace in the town center of Bückeburg in Lower Saxony, Germany, and has been the ancestral seat of the Counts and later Princes of Schaumburg‑Lippe for over 700 years.

The earliest documented fortification on the site dates back to 1304, but the present four‑winged complex was largely built in the Renaissance between 1560 and the early 17th century, with later Baroque and neo‑baroque additions after a fire in 1732.

The castle remains partly the family home of the Schaumburg‑Lippe line, while significant sections are open to the public as a museum and event venue, featuring historic halls, a magnificently decorated banqueting hall, a palace chapel, and rich interior artwork from four centuries.

The palace stands within extensive baroque and landscape parks that extend over more than 80 hectares and include the world’s largest privately owned mausoleum, making Schloss Bückeburg both a major cultural monument and a prominent tourist attraction in northwestern Germany.
