Schloss Herten in Herten, Germany, is a striking moated castle first mentioned in 1376, with its current red-brick structure built in the 16th and 17th centuries by architects Henric de Suer and his son Johann for the Stecke and Nesselrode families on 14th-century foundations.

The quadrangular complex features four wings around an inner courtyard, crow-stepped gables, three round corner towers with conical roofs, a late Gothic arcade, and Baroque interiors including a 17th-century frescoed festival hall, set within an English landscape park.

Protected as a cultural monument since 1962 after post-World War I decay, it now serves as a city-owned event venue for weddings and celebrations amid scenic gardens near Recklinghausen.
