Wadern, Germany, Germany
Schloss Münchweiler is a unique Baroque residence in Münchweiler, part of Wadern in Germany's Saarland, constructed between 1749 and 1785 on the initiative of Baron Franz Georg Zandt von Merl using designs by an architect linked to Christian Kretschmar.
Featuring a chestnut-lined avenue leading to a grand portal, courtyard framed by residential and service wings later expanded in the 19th century, and an intact Baroque garden, it stands as Saarland's only preserved elaborate rural mansion blending opulent style with natural surroundings.
