Schloss Quetz
Zörbig, Germany, Germany
Schloss Quetz in Quetzdölsdorf near Zörbig, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, is a classical-style manor built between 1788 and 1790 by Hellmut Moritz von Graevenitz on the site of an older knight's estate acquired through marriage in 1779.
The elegant 11-axial structure, comparable to nearby Mosigkau Palace and Dessau's Dietrich Palais, features a three-bay central risalit on its courtyard side and lavish Classicist interiors by renowned architect Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff, creator of the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm.
Passed through the Graevenitz family until 1945 expropriation, it served various communal uses before private acquisition in 1997, now surrounded by a historic landscape park with a pond and hosting cultural events by the Land-Leben-Kunst-Werk association.
