Verified Schloss Reinhardtsgrimma

Glashütte, Germany, Germany

Schloss Reinhardtsgrimma is a late Baroque castle located in the Reinhardtsgrimma district of Glashütte, Germany, built between 1765 and 1767 following plans by architect Johann Christoph Lippold and garden designer Johann Friedrich Knöbel, who intended the castle and park to reflect late Baroque and English garden styles.

The castle saw frequent changes in ownership between 1780 and 1820 and underwent major renovations when Generalmajor Friedrich Hugo Maximilian Senfft von Pilsach acquired it in 1908. In 1946, the castle became home to an agricultural school with a boarding facility, and since 1991 the castle is state-owned, serving as an educational center for agriculture, nutrition, and forestry, while also hosting exhibitions and concerts since 1995.

The castle grounds include a park with a small lake and seating areas, providing a peaceful place for visitors to enjoy. The castle has been extensively renovated along with its park since the 1990s, preserving its historical and cultural significance in the region.
