Schloss Scharfenberg is a medieval castle in Klipphausen near Meissen, Saxony, Germany, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Elbe Valley with panoramic views.

First mentioned in 1227 as a fortress of the Bishops of Meissen built around 1200 during German eastward settlement, it features remnants of early ring walls and a round keep from 1220, suffering damage in the Thirty Years' War before a 1654 Renaissance rebuild by the von Miltitz family, who owned it until 1940.

In the early 19th century, it became a hub for Romantic artists like Caspar David Friedrich through the "Scharfenberg Circle," later serving as a family residence, museum, and now a hotel with preserved defensive elements despite post-war decay.
