Schloss Stolberg is a historic castle located in the southern Harz Mountains in Germany, dating back to the early 13th century. The castle stands on a hill with steep drops on three sides, offering panoramic views over the town of Stolberg. Its oldest part, a round tower, was built around 1200, while Renaissance-style wings were added between 1539 and 1547.

The castle also features Classicist interiors designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, including the Great Reception Room and the Red Room. Renovations in the late 17th century gave the castle its present Baroque appearance. Stolberg Castle was the ancestral seat of the Counts and later Princes of Stolberg-Stolberg until they were dispossessed in 1945.

After serving as a recreation home during the GDR era, it was taken over by the German Foundation for Monument Conservation in 2002, which has been restoring it since. Today, parts of the castle are open to the public as a museum and event venue, showcasing its rich history and architectural heritage, while the surrounding gardens and terraces attract visitors to this cultural landmark.
