Schloss Wickrath in Mönchengladbach, Germany, is a baroque castle built between 1746 and 1772 on the site of a former medieval water castle that was mentioned as early as 1104/05.

The original castle was heavily damaged by fire in 1745, prompting Count Wilhelm Otto Friedrich von Quadt to rebuild it in the French-inspired baroque style, including the main residence, two forecourt wings, pavilions, and an extensive garden designed like a crown. During the French Revolutionary Wars, the owner fled, and Napoleon established a stallion depot at the estate to supply horses for his army.

Later, the castle was converted into a cavalry barracks. After years of neglect, the park and castle underwent significant restoration starting around 2002, reviving the garden's alleys, ponds, and introducing new features like a water playground.

Today, the palace is admired for its red brick and sandstone architecture, its harmonious integration with the Niers river landscape, and as a cultural venue and popular attraction in the Rhineland region.
