Schloss Wiser
Hirschberg an der Bergstraße, Germany, Germany
Schloss Wiser in Hirschberg an der Bergstraße, Germany, is a Baroque summer residence built between 1710 and 1715 by architect Johann Jakob Rischer for Count Ferdinand Andreas von Wiser on the site of a previous estate destroyed in 1688.
Located in the Leutershausen district, it showcases southern Italian Renaissance-to-Baroque styling with a courtyard featuring a 1737 Loreto Chapel housing a revered Black Madonna statue, surrounded by high walls enclosing a sculpted park, orangery, and outbuildings.
Still privately owned and inhabited by the Counts of Wiser, it remains closed to the public except for an annual pilgrimage procession on the Assumption of Mary, blending family legacy with quiet architectural elegance along the scenic Bergstraße.
