Schloss Wolfsburg is a historic lowland and water castle in the city of Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany, and it is the landmark after which the whole city was named.

Originally beginning as a fortified tower house on the Aller river and later expanding into a medieval water castle, it was transformed in the 16th and 17th centuries into a representative four‑winged Renaissance palace that counts as one of the most northerly examples of Weser Renaissance architecture.

The castle was built and long held by the noble family of von Bartensleben and later passed by inheritance to the counts von der Schulenburg, who used it as the center of a large regional estate economy until the 20th century.

Today the city of Wolfsburg owns the complex, which serves as a cultural venue with a museum, guided tours, and regular events, and it is surrounded by a spacious English‑style park and formal garden areas that invite visitors to stroll and relax.
