Schoepfle Gardens in Birmingham, Ohio, is a 77-acre botanical garden and woodland preserve managed by the Lorain County Metro Parks. Bordered by the Vermilion River, it features formal gardens with manicured hedges, topiaries, and colorful flower beds, as well as shade gardens filled with ferns, hostas, and rhododendrons beneath tall pines.

The property also includes nearly fifty acres of natural woodlands with hiking trails and scenic riverside views. Created by Otto B. Schoepfle, who began transforming his family’s property in the 1930s after traveling through Europe and North America studying plants, the gardens are often called “the garden that grew.” A highlight is the musically themed Children's Garden, added in 2007, which includes creative play areas and a carousel open seasonally.

Today, visitors can explore the diverse plant collections, enjoy peaceful walks through the woods, and experience the garden’s blend of art, nature, and history in a serene rural setting.
