Sea Island, Georgia is a privately owned, exclusive seaside resort island located in Glynn County, part of the Golden Isles along Georgia's southeastern Atlantic coast.

The island is about five miles long and is renowned for its pristine beaches, lush marshlands, and abundant wildlife, providing a scenic, tranquil environment. It was originally known as Fifth Creek Island and had little development until the 1920s when Howard Coffin, an automobile magnate, envisioned and developed it into a premier luxury destination with the opening of The Cloister hotel in 1928, attracting celebrities, politicians, and wealthy visitors.
