Stiege is a picturesque village and recognized health resort in the Harz Mountains of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, now part of Oberharz am Brocken, situated at 500 meters elevation northwest of the Selketal valley between Hasselfelde and Güntersberge with around 862 residents. 

Over 1,000 years old, it boasts a scenic lakeside landmark ensemble of Stiege Castle, a wooden stave church in rare Norwegian dragon style relocated to the village, and a bell house, complemented by the Selketalbahn's unique 1984-built smallest public railway turning loop in Europe operated partly by steam locomotives.

Nature lovers flock to its 90-kilometer hiking network including the Selketal-Stieg start and nearby Harzer-Hexen-Stieg, two fishing lakes, cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, a camping site, bowling alley, and playground in a tranquil setting ideal for outdoor pursuits.
