Thalkirchen-Obersendling-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln is the 19th borough of Munich, located in the southern part of the city along the west bank of the Isar River. It spans about 17.76 square kilometers with a population nearing 97,000 as of 2018.

The district includes a mix of residential areas, natural recreational sites, and industrial zones. Thalkirchen is known for its riverside location, popular floodplain recreation area called Flaucher, and the nearby Munich Zoo on the opposite side of the river. Obersendling is more industrial, with a historical connection to Siemens, which has shaped much of the area’s development. Solln stands out with multi-story buildings and an elegant residential section called Gartenstadt Solln.
