The Arboretum at Penn State Behrend, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, was officially dedicated in 2003 and covers 854 acres, featuring more than 200 species of trees and woody plants.

Much of the arboretum's diverse collection traces back to the original owners, Ernst and Mary Behrend, who collected exotic trees from Asia. The arboretum is recognized by the American Public Gardens Association and supports public education, outreach, research, and conservation programs.

It includes natural heritage areas like Wintergreen Gorge to prevent erosion and protect local ecosystems, along with walking trails and landscaped gardens on campus. The arboretum highlights both native and exotic species across a large scope, serving as a living collection that blends historical legacy with environmental stewardship and community engagement.
