Grimsrød Farm is a historic estate on Jeløy peninsula in Moss Municipality, Norway, first documented as bishop's property in 1396 and later crown land after the Reformation, functioning as a postal farm for centuries. Developed into a manor in the 1700s with lavish buildings and gardens under owners like amtmann Lachmann, justitsråd Scheel, and Magnus Tyrholm—who expanded the main house before his 1826 bankruptcy—it was acquired by consul David Chrystie, who operated a tileworks called Gropa and subdivided forest into Frammnes farm. Artist Edvard Munch rented it from 1913-1917, using rooms as studios inspired by the landscape, before Moss municipality purchased lands in 1916 for housing; the final owner Kjell Gabrielsen's 1993 death revealed hidden treasures willed to charities, leading Jeløy Kurbad to sell the remnant property in 1995 amid residential development.
