Tiwi Beach is a quiet, scenic stretch of white‑sand shoreline on the Kenyan coast in Kwale County, about 17 kilometers south of Mombasa and just north of the more crowded Diani Beach. It lies along the Indian Ocean and is sheltered by a coral reef that creates calm, shallow waters, making it pleasant for swimming, snorkeling around the reef, and casual sunbathing under coconut and casuarina trees. The beach forms part of a roughly 15‑kilometer coastal strip that includes Tiwi‑Mwachema and Diani‑Galu, and is known for being less built‑up and more relaxed than neighboring resorts, with a growing number of small hotels, beach‑front eateries, and water‑sports options.
