Torre dei Dell’Acqua is a medieval tower in the village of Castello dell’Acqua in Lombardy and is the most visible remnant of the ancient castle that once dominated the area.

The castle was associated with the Dell’Acqua family, local lords who gave their name to the village, and records indicate that a fortress existed on the site from at least the 11th century. The castle remained inhabited until the late 15th century, after which it was abandoned and gradually dismantled, with many of its stones reused in local buildings.

Archaeological findings on the hill suggest that the site was occupied long before the medieval period, with traces dating back as far as the 6th century BC. Today, the tower stands on a panoramic hill beside the Church of San Michele and offers impressive views of the surrounding Valtellina landscape. It is valued as a symbol of the village’s history and a reminder of its medieval past.
