The Trango Towers are a dramatic cluster of granite spires rising above the Baltoro Glacier in Gilgit-Baltistan, northern Pakistan. Part of the Karakoram range’s Baltoro Muztagh subrange, they’re famed for having some of the world’s tallest vertical cliffs and are a mecca for elite rock climbers. The most prominent peak is Great Trango Tower, soaring to 6,286 meters (20,623 feet).

Its east face features the largest nearly vertical drop on Earth—an awe-inspiring wall of sheer granite. Just northwest lies the Nameless Tower (also called Trango Tower), a striking, needle-like spire that juts 1,000 meters from the ridgeline and is one of the most coveted big-wall climbs in the world.

These towers are not just about adrenaline and altitude—they’re surrounded by the surreal beauty of the Baltoro Glacier and the broader Karakoram wilderness. The area is also home to rare wildlife like snow leopards and golden eagles, and the trek to reach them is an adventure in itself, often part of the legendary K2 Base Camp route.
