Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, is a new 32-acre children’s theme park and entertainment resort scheduled to open in May 2026.
Designed especially for families with young children, it will be the first Universal Resort focused on kids, featuring seven themed lands based on popular franchises such as DreamWorks’ Shrek and Puss in Boots, Illumination’s Minions, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, Trolls, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and Gabby’s Dollhouse.
The resort will offer immersive family-friendly attractions, character meet-and-greets, interactive play zones, themed dining, retail, and shows designed to spark creativity and imagination. A 300-room, five-story hotel adjacent to the park will provide convenient access for overnight stays.
The resort emphasizes storytelling and play experiences tailored specifically for younger guests, aiming to be a regional family vacation destination close to Dallas and the surrounding Texas area.
