Wasserschloss Inzlingen is Germany's only fully preserved moated castle in its original layout, located at the eastern edge of Inzlingen village in Baden-Württemberg's Lörrach district, nearly encircled by Swiss territory near Basel.

First documented around 1470 as a "Schloss oder Wasserhaus" owned by the Basel-origin Reichenstein family—who received Inzlingen as a fief in 1394—it evolved through expansions from 1563-1566 and gained its Baroque form between 1674-1745 with opulent Rococo interiors added circa 1750.

Acquired by the municipality in 1969 and renovated by 1977, it now houses the town hall, an upscale restaurant, conference rooms, and rentable event hall, with guided tours available for groups. This fairy-tale landmark reflects perfectly in its moat, blending medieval origins with lavish 18th-century elegance amid the Dinkelberg valley's scenic charm.
