Weißandt-Gölzau is a former municipality now part of Südliches Anhalt in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, located between Dessau-Roßlau and Halle (Saale) at 79-82 meters elevation in the northwestern Leipzig Lowlands Bay.
Formed in 1937 by merging Großweißandt—first referenced around 1202 with name variants like Wizzand—and Gölzau, it later incorporated Kleinweißandt in 1950 and Gnetsch in 2005 before joining the city in 2010, featuring a medieval motte castle site from the 13th century with a later 18th-century moated palace by the von Plotho family that fell into ruin.
Transformed by lignite mining from the 1860s into a workers' village with operations like Grube "Unser Fritz" and Grube "Kurt," it shifted post-reunification to modern uses including wind parks and an industrial estate.
