The Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden in Reno, Nevada, is a 13-acre living plant museum located within Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

It showcases over 4,600 native and adaptive plants, including 1,700 trees from 185 different species, in a high-desert environment that experiences harsh conditions like low precipitation and a short growing season. The arboretum features 94 small gardens and groves with water features, serving as both an educational resource and a peaceful retreat, attracting more than 100,000 visitors annually.

It plays a significant role in conservation and public education, offering pathways for walking and learning about plant diversity adapted to the transitional zone between the Sierra Nevada and the Great Basin Desert. The May Arboretum is a certified Level II Arboretum, maintained by dedicated staff and volunteers, and is known as one of the most plant-diverse areas in northern Nevada.
