Yampa River Botanic Park is a 6‑acre free public garden along Pamela Lane in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, set beside the Yampa River at about 6,800 feet elevation in a challenging high‑mountain climate with a short frost‑free season.

It began in the early 1990s on a former horse pasture and has grown into a diverse collection of more than 60 specialty gardens, including a children’s garden, butterfly and hummingbird areas, a reflecting Japanese pond, roses, native and water‑wise plantings, and vegetable and herb patches, all connected by winding paths and dotted with small ponds, sculptures, and seating areas.

The park is open dawn to dusk roughly from May through October, welcomes visitors at no charge, and functions as both a quiet nature escape and a community hub that hosts live music, guided tours, yoga, educational programs, and special events for locals and tourists exploring Steamboat Springs.
