The garden features themed sections such as the Taniguchi Japanese Garden, the Hartman Prehistoric Garden recreating a Cretaceous habitat, the Mabel Davis Rose Garden, and a cactus and succulent garden. It also includes historic structures and cultural artifacts like the Swedish log cabin, reflecting Austin’s pioneer heritage.

The garden is maintained through a partnership between the city and volunteer organizations, offering horticultural displays, educational programs, and community engagement, attracting around 110,000 visitors annually as a peaceful urban oasis.
