Zingst Hundestrand
Germany, Germany
Zingst Hundestrand is one of the most beautiful dog beaches on the Baltic Sea, located on the peninsula of Fischland-Darß-Zingst in the seaside health resort of Zingst, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
It features a fine sandy beach with plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and relax, and the water slopes gently and is calm and clear, making it ideal for dogs who love to swim. The beach is free to enter, open 24 hours a day, and has no leash requirement, allowing dogs to run off-leash.
There are actually two designated dog beaches in Zingst at beach access points 3a and 15b, and from May 1 to September 30, dogs must use only these sections, while from October 1 to May 1, dogs can walk on the entire beach though leashes are still required year-round. The beach is somewhat secluded and located outside the town center, about 3 kilometers from the nearest toilets and food stalls, with public toilets and trash bins available at the associated beach access point 16.
Free parking is available nearby, though spaces may be limited, and the beach is also accessible by bus and train. Despite lacking amenities like beach chair rentals, on-site food, or drinks, Zingst Hundestrand remains a favorite for its natural beauty, cleanliness, tranquility, stunning sunsets, and peaceful environment without overcrowding.
