Albarracín Citadel crowns the highest point of Albarracín, a picturesque walled town in Teruel province, Aragon, Spain, overlooking the Guadalaviar River gorge.

Dating to the 10th century with Arab origins under the Banu Razín dynasty, it anchored an independent taifa kingdom until its 1170 conquest by Aragon's Pedro II, featuring a strategic castle core integrated into extensive murallas that protected both urban areas and livestock pastures during sieges.

Though much reconstructed, the citadel's remnants—including towers like Andador and fortified walls encircling the medina—blend with the town's pink-hued stone houses, offering panoramic views and evoking its layered Visigothic, Islamic, and Christian history as a UNESCO-linked medieval gem.
