Alcazaba de Baza is a formidable 11th-12th century Islamic fortress at the heart of Baza's historic center in Granada province, Spain, dominating the ancient medina with nearly impregnable walls reflecting three construction phases: early Taifa-era foundations, Nasrid reinforcements, and 16th-century Christian adaptations.

Once a near-invincible stronghold protecting the northeastern frontier of Granada's Nasrid kingdom against Castilian incursions, it endured powerful earthquakes that reshaped its structure alongside 18th-century urban expansion, leaving only fragmented muralla sections and tower remnants today.

As a testament to al-Andalus military architecture, its elevated position continues to offer commanding views over the surrounding countryside.
