Baie de Kakomë
Albania, Albania
Baie de Kakomë, also known as Kakome Bay or Gjiri i Kakomesë, is a secluded, pristine bay on Albania's Albanian Riviera along the Ionian Sea coast in Vlorë County, nestled between Vlorë and Sarandë about 12-13 kilometers north of Saranda near the village of Nivicë in Himarë municipality.
Surrounded by lush green hills, untouched greenery, and rocky cliffs, it boasts crystal-clear turquoise waters, fine white sand or pebble beach, and a peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere ideal for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and relaxing away from tourist crowds.
Access is primarily by boat from Saranda due to private property and guarded roads, with nearby attractions including the abandoned 16th-century Monastery of Saint Mary reachable by short hike and views of adjacent Krorëza Beach, all within a protected natural area.
