Běhařov is a small village and municipality in the Plzeň Region of western Czechia, located southwest of Klatovy.

The settlement was first mentioned in written records in 1352 and was originally centered around a noble fortress and the Church of Saint Procopius, which remains one of its key landmarks today. Over the centuries, Běhařov was owned by several noble families. The original fortress was later replaced by a Baroque château in the 18th century, which became an important feature of the village.

In the early 20th century, the château was associated with the painter Alois Kalvoda, who established a summer art school there and enhanced the surrounding park. Today, Běhařov is a quiet rural community with a rich history, historic architecture, and a scenic setting in the Švihov Highlands. Its château and church reflect the village’s long cultural heritage and make it a noteworthy destination for visitors interested in local history.
