The Boubou Hama National Museum in Niamey, Niger's capital, founded in 1959 as the Musée National du Niger and renamed in 2008 to honor politician and scholar Boubou Hama, spans a 24-hectare park showcasing the nation's diverse heritage through ethnography, archaeology, paleontology, and natural history in seven Hausa-style pavilions painted blue and white.

Key exhibits include the preserved remains of the iconic Tree of Ténéré felled in 1973, dinosaur skeletons like Ouranosaurus from the Sahara's fossil-rich past, traditional huts of ethnic groups such as Tuareg, Hausa, Fulani, Songhai, and Zarma, plus zoological displays, artisanal crafts, ancient manuscripts, and a small zoo with local wildlife. 

Part of Niamey's "Culture Valley" alongside cultural centers, it draws 170,000 annual visitors for educational insights into Niger's prehistoric, tribal, and modern stories amid lush gardens and family-friendly spaces.
