Cappa Pier is a small but popular waterfront spot on the Shannon Estuary just outside the town of Kilrush in County Clare, Ireland.

It features a historic stone pier and a rocky beach that remains in regular use more than 250 years after the first section was built in the mid‑1700s, when it helped establish Kilrush as an important port handling trade and passenger traffic.

Today it is mainly a leisure and scenic destination, where locals and visitors enjoy jumping off the pier into the estuary, taking summer swims, and watching boats and wildlife such as Shannon bottlenose dolphins and seabirds. The pier offers views across the water to Scattery and Hog Islands and, on clear days, the coastline of County Kerry, while the nearby village of Cappa and the town of Kilrush provide cafés, shops, toilets, and other amenities for a relaxed estuary‑side day out.
