Castell d'Abella de la Conca crowns the rocky heights above Abella de la Conca village in Pallars Jussà, Lleida province, Catalonia, Spain, first documented in 1033 as a northern boundary marker for Llordà and later in 1055-1056 defining territorial limits with neighboring fortresses like Orcau, Basturs, and Llimiana.

Dating likely to the 11th century amid Urgell county's frontier expansion during the Reconquista, it served under castellans such as Miró Sunyer d'Abella (1094) and his son Pere, later passing through figures like Guillem Guitart de Caboet before becoming the seat of the Baronia d'Abella by the 15th century, encompassing nearby sites including Carreu, Sant Romà, Bóixols, and la Rua.

Now in ruins with surviving wall fragments closing a rectangular structure, this protected Cultural Asset of National Interest controlled key access routes into the Conca Dellà from Alt Urgell, offering sweeping valley views amid its rugged prehistoric landscape.
